Australian Avocados have been working with Liquid Interactive since 2006. During this time we have built up their digital activity to extend across all areas of their marketing activity and many other areas of the business. The Australian Avocados’ website supports the Australian Industry of Avocado growers and suppliers. They consider digital marketing to be the most cost effective and information rich advertising method since Liquid Interactive took over as their digital agency in 2006.
In 2009 a new website and digital strategy was commissioned to support both the overall consumer marketing and industry communications program. The website objectives highlighted the importance of flexibility and scalability, as well, to explore web 2.0 technologies and how they could be used to support and enhance their marketing and communications strategy.
Australian Avocados are currently experiencing consistent monthly traffic to their website, which has grown by over 500% in 4 years. The website is an engaging presentation of recipes, heath information and topical articles. Each year we review visitor data and continually develop our strategy to take the industry further forward.
The consumer digital marketing campaign strategy encompasses various strategic activities targeting many different audiences, including:
• Main Grocery Buyer – ‘Bustling Families’ (Families with School aged Children),
• Main Grocery Buyer – ‘Start-up Families’ (Families with children under 5),
• Food Service Professionals, and
• Early childhood Centres.
The key part of the online strategy is to act as a funnel that will catch as many consumers as possible who have seen the offline advertising. The digital media including items as simple as a banner are focused on that objective.
